Start Point: Gortagullane Upper @ O.S. Map V983 848
Meeting point: On the Muckross Road (N71) pass Muckross Park Hotel and take the road left signposted “Mangerton Viewing Park” and continue to Gortagullane Upper. Turn right off this road and continue to the start point.
The Tooreencormick Bridle Path.
The route follows the course of the Finoulagh river and continues uphill in a southerly direction. Arriving at the stream leaving the lake known as the Devils Punch Bowl, the route swings left and climbs sharply to the arête between the Devils Punch Bowl and the Horses Glen. The high point 843 meters is reached soon after crossing the arête and the return route continues on the western side of the Devils Punch Bowl, rejoining the track below the lake to continue back to the start point.
