Great Blasket Island

Classifications: Very easy,Easy & moderate options ranging from 1 hour to 4 hours. This walk is always one of our most popular days out but is very weather dependent, requiring the ferries to be running on the day.Members choose various walk options and many end up spending time on the beach,going for a swim, or drinking coffee or tea in the small cafe/hostel which has operated in the island village for the past couple of years.Walking boots are recommended but not essential for this walk but remember that it can be quite wet and boggy in parts, though underfoot conditions for the most part are generally good.Highest point on the island is An Cró Mór @ 292m.
